To put it simply, adaptogens are non-toxic, non-harmful, life enhancing plants that are often used due to their abilities to help the body resist physical, biological or chemical stressors of all kinds.
Above all, they help the body fight and resist stress. Now, the stress response by itself is an important defensive mechanism, but constant bombardment (aka our daily life) is not that great for us and can have many repercussions on the way we feel and look -adaptogens to the rescue.

Founders Story
It started with a need — when they couldn't find a solution, they created it.
Founded by Catarina, a former athlete and creative wellness consultant for brands such as Adidas and Lululemon, and Rui who is currently finishing her PhD on Plant Nutrition after completing a degree in organic agriculture, food system masters and nutrition bachelors. In a chance encounter in Berlin in 2017, a mutual bond was built over shroom drinks, four sigmatic, lions mane and Tim Ferriss!
For Rui, back in 2014 while studying nutrition with an oncology focus in Arizona, the mixture of excitement, no routine and cafeteria food left her with skin issues that she had never experienced before. It was then that she decided to follow heritage and turning to Traditional Chinese Medicine was a natural first step. Re-adjusting her food to incorporate home cooking, TCM and adaptogens, plus practicing some self love, truly helped her body and skin.
It was from these moments and learning experiences that helped them shape what they've created today, a brand which tells us that beauty can be healing.
