Steve Terry

Founder of youtime

Steve Terry is youtime's Founder and CEO.

Steve fell in love with hairdressing when he was 15. His passion was grounded in the ability to impact people positively, empowering them to express themselves and feel good about themselves.

Steve’s career has seen him become one of the world’s most awarded and influential hairdressers. His awards include winning “Best British Artistic Team” for six consecutive years at the British Hairdressing awards as one of Toni & Guy’s key International Artistic Directors. Steve was one of their most internationally sought after educators for over a decade and was awarded the title of Australian Master at the AHFA for his contribution to Australian Hairdressing Internationally.

Steve is born and bred in Manly Beach Sydney, but spent 25 years living in Stockholm, where his passion for purpose led, impactful, commercial concepts blossomed. During his years with Toni & Guy, and afterwards as Founder & CEO of YOU and theyouway.com, and co-owner, Creative and Business Development Director of Lyko, he established himself as one of the most influential figures in the hair, beauty, wellness and digital spaces in Scandinavia.

His success in Sweden saw him become a household name, making regular television appearances including having his own segment on the Tv4 morning show, being a judge on Swedish TOP MODEL, and head of hair for both X FACTOR and IDOL. Steve also featured regularly in diverse press and media.

Today he is driven by bringing beauty and wellbeing together in the most authentic manner and a burning desire for customer service, to drive change, do good, and to make a difference. This is where this next endeavour finds its DNA.

Steve is a visionary change maker through his future thinking approach to service, marketing, retail and product development. His view on the way we do business, the relationship between brands and their customer and the importance of holistic consumer and industry offerings is unmatched.
